The Bamileke community in Arizona (Binam-AZ) is a cultural association that brings together nationals from the West Cameroon region, residing in the state of Arizona within the USA. The association was formed in 2013 with the aim of promoting community spirit and solidarity which are core values of Bamileke culture. Binam-AZ is deeply aware that young Cameroonians graduating from high school find it extremely difficult to further their education through university enrollment.
In an effort to address this gap and in view of the spirit of solidarity that drives its members, Binam-AZ has instituted a scholarship program for young Cameroonians who have completed secondary education. This scholarship program aims to help the recipients materialize their enrollment in a Cameroonian university of their choice.
